We, as the Hungarian section of JEF, have been a national section of the international network for almost a year and a half. During this time, despite COVID, we were able to hold a number of events. Our goal is to bring the EU closer to Hungarian young people and to be able to talk about issues that affect them without taboos, as well as to give them a comprehensive overview of the opportunities available to them. Over the past year, we have been able to establish several professional collaborations with key Hungarian youth organizations that support our work and, like us, promote democratic principles, the importance of active citizenship, social equality and inclusion. Examples are the Erasmus Student Network, ELSA Hungary, the Female Management Network, the Hungarian Atlantic Council, AIESEC Hungary, or BAGázs. We would like to involve these youth organizations organically in our programs described below, as we believe that Hungarian youth can only be best addressed through cross-organizational, non-exclusionary and collaborative programs.
